HGM

I’m George. I run game servers, build F1 and iPhone apps, and make music.

24, from South East England, and by my own admission a non-grass-toucher. Making music since 2017, running servers since 2022.

Servers

Since 2022 I've hosted modded Call of Duty servers, and built the tools the scene was missing along the way.

HGMServers

Modded Call of Duty and Minecraft servers across the EU and North America.

Vanilla-focused multiplayer and Zombies, real-time leaderboards, weekly challenges, credits and a Discord that stays busy. I run all of it: the hosts, the Java site and API, the IW4MAdmin plugins, the bots and the monitoring that tells me when something breaks.

Plug an iPhone in over USB, click anywhere on a map and the phone reports that location. Walk with the arrow keys or play back a route. It uses Apple’s own developer location simulation, so there is no jailbreak and nothing to install on the phone.

The campaign

I built the release site at loud.hgm.gg myself: the countdown and pre-save page, a private press room that hands embargoed audio and artwork to outlets one code at a time, and an admin dashboard that flips the site to “out now” on release night.

Open source and side projects

Plugins, references and small tools. Most are public on GitHub; the rest keep the servers running behind the scenes.

About

I’m 24, from South East England, and I spend my time somewhere between music, gaming and tech. I started hosting Call of Duty servers in 2022 and kept building whatever the servers needed until some of it turned into products. These days that also covers Formula 1 timing, iPhone apps, a Minecraft server and a homelab that keeps growing.

Linux and the terminal, PostgreSQL for nearly everything, Next.js and TypeScript on the web. Java, Go, Python, C# and Swift when the job calls for them.
